The 911 call that started the sheriff's investigation into Joe Mixon allegedly came from Mixon's home, according to a FOX19 transcript of the call received on Wednesday.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies responded at about 8:30 p.m. on the 7900 block of Ayers Road. Monday. A minor, an Anderson High School student, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. How the teenager was injured is not yet known.
The man who called 911 told him he was with "my athlete" and the accident happened outside. The initial incident report also indicates that the call came from a home associated with Mixon.
A man called to report a "shooting" outside his home. The sheriff's office only confirmed that the deputies responded to the "knocks," not that anyone was hit.
"There were children, three or four cars were blocking the road," the man says to an emergency caller. But I kept walking, walking, walking, and then he yelled something and walked back to his car and pulled and pulled out another gun that looked to me like Kel-Tec or something. And [he] ran into the back drive of his house, where he got out, and he said, "[*/*]
yeah." And then all of a sudden you heard him running and running there and you were like, "pop pop pop pop!And three cars left. Now there's a car behind it speeding away and the jeep is ahead and I think it's taking off.
The man said he watched events unfold for 10 to 15 minutes and immediately called 911.
“They come and go. They blocked the street. There were girls driving a certain car and boys... and everything.... A guy was walking in the grass between the jock's house and the other neighbor's house and I heard him yell something while waving a gun, then I heard "bap pop pop pop pop!"
MPs placed a registered crime scene around the house on Ayers Road in the evening. Hours later, they expanded the crime scene tape to include Mixon's house, which is adjacent to the first house, and there was at least one evidence mark in Mixon's backyard. At around 11:30 p.m.
substitutes knocked on Mixon's door.m., who loudly poses as the sheriff's deputy and orders the owner to leave. They broke into Mixon's home at around 1:30 am. The rays of the torches could be seen around the house.Three MPs walked in at around 2am with note-taking equipment.
